Mind, Body & Soul Fitness by Jet was birthed through my own journey into “true” fitness… fitness with longevity in mind.

It started after kids when my body was out of shape and I felt like I would never feel like me again. I started going to the gym and it was the group fitness classes that kept me coming back. The instructors were wonderful and supportive. I went from double digit dress sizes to a single digit dress size. It was mind blowing to me. I got my body back into shape and learned to care for it. My journey into fitness helped me develop a deep passion for “true” fitness and helping others find happiness in their bodies.

As I got deeper into the fitness world I realized a dirty little secret of the fitness industry; a lot of instructors have physical conditions – knee issues, shoulder issues, etc. We all know how we’re supposed to move but we still have these issues. How do I avoid injury and keep doing what I love? That question led me to continuing education and conferences seeking safe and sustainable ways to be fit. That’s where some of the methodologies I use really come into play, like TaijiFit and the MELT Method.

Hi! I’m Jeanette, and I am the founder of Mind, Body & Soul Fitness by Jet.

I know what it is like to be overweight. I was obese as a child and have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I have the life experience to know how hard it can be to find fitness and be at peace with how my body looks and moves as opposed to how the media thinks I should look or move. I also struggle with an autoimmune disease. The autoimmune disease changed my world. I scrutinized any possible trigger that may have made my body vulnerable. It was discouraging to feel like my body was betraying me. I made drastic changes in my diet and what products I use on my body. I learned that my body had been sending me signals that I ignored. I was my own saboteur!

I was my first client and I was demanding. I wanted fun without the displeasure of excruciating pain the next day. Now I help people in the Orange County, California area meet their fitness goals without causing harm to their bodies. I would like to invite you see health as not the absence of disease but the balance of Mind, Body & Soul. I invite you to see fitness in a new light, one that will give you a dose of enjoyment, longevity for ease of movement and consistency of character.
