TaijiFit

TaijiFit is a way to experience Tai Chi, yoga & meditation together.

I met David Dorian-Ross, the creator of TaijiFit, at a fitness conference. I’ve wanted to do Tai Chi since I was a little girl. TaijiFit is birthed from traditional Tai Chi. There are many studies about the benefits of Tai Chi. TaijiFit helps balance the body. TaijiFit is a blending of movement and strength. Movement with “flow”, you balance, shift your body with control and breathe a stress relieving breath. It’s truly amazing how calming it is. TaijiFit is moving meditation. It creates a healthy connection of mind to body which is missing in typical Western workouts.

Western workouts tend to compartmentalize the body by ignoring fatigue to strive for strength. This can lead to injury or compensation in muscle movement. TaijiFit has the body move in unison telling a story. Each breath exhales stress and gathers Qi, Qi being breath or energy.

I have found that there’s a very a nice connection with TaijiFit and listening to your body, so this methodology is something that I incorporate into all of my instruction.
